Hi graham,
No it will not be Rose, I have sent you the census dates below for future reference.
My guess is it will be a Moon birth poss between 1906/7 to 1909 probably in Southwark. According to free BMD there are quite a few so it is a process of trawling through the census for any likely suspects, will post you what I found and it may ring a few bells!

Hi Graham,
Sorry for the delay just logged back on. Sometimes with a second marriage the bride still uses her own maiden name instead of first married name, ( as my own sister did ) maybe that has happened here if the other marriage is correct??
Sorry The only way to find out is to actually buy the cert, ( if you think it's her ) then it should state her martial status, spinster, widow etc and it should also state her father's name.
Hope this helps
Gwyn has explained the birth you were confused over.
Good luck! :-)

Graham The reference to Rose E can be found on the freebmd site. This is really useful for checking GRO listings up to around 1935 ish.
Births Mar 1912 Moon Rose E ..Williams ..St.Olave 1d 357
This means that a birth was registered for a Rose E. MOON in the March quarter of 1912 in St Olave district and her mother's maiden name was WILLIAMS. This would be the correct quarter most likely for a birth so late in December.
Have a look here....

Liverbird1, just going through the details of you post and notice that d.o.b for Rose Eleanor Burchett is spot on but you note that this may be 2nd marriage ???. How do I confirm whether this is first or second ? The last paragraph is spot on true ,james william moon and Elizabeth ann moon ( nee williams )married in 1904 are Rose Eleanor Moons parents but a little confused as to Moon Rose E Williams St Olave 1d357.
Thanks for your help

Ann I don't know what time and date a census is done on or if the young babies are on census but I think the missing name is Rose Eleanor who was born 30/12/1911. This is not the same as ellena born in 1905.. All the other details are the same . I have a BC with Rose Eleanors parents on . Many thanks for your post Graham

Hi Graham
Ancestry have a lot of London Parish Records on line.
London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813–1906 - New London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754–1921 - New London, England, Deaths and Burials, 1813–1980 - New London, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538–1812 - New
The first three are indexed which helps (allowing for mistranscriptions). The last set are not indexed but can be searched ...
Not all parishes are on there but if you have London ancestors it is a blessing.
Do you want the original scan of that marriage? Send me a PM (click on my name) with your e-mail address and I will send it over.
I'm off to save it for you ...
Jill

Thanks for your help Mrs Grumpy, These names i am aware of but your details seem far more accurate than the ones i've got. Is it possible to see online the details you mention at the London archives ? This seems like a good area of research which i have not visited yet .Can you advise me if marriage and death certificates for the last 100 years are available online or do you need to travel to london to view in person? Many Thanks Graham

Welcome to the site ! You're doing fine Graham...
A general thank you to all is OK, perhaps with special mention of anything that looks particularly promising. . Each time something is added, it will bring this thread back to the top of the board again. Check back from time to time incase more posts are made.
Once you post a message on these boards, there is often a reply within minutes, so it is best to post questions / searches when you have time to be around to answer any further questions that helpers might need to ask to aid their search.
