just realised that on 1881 frederick is with Lucy 'mapledoram' amd there is a child called Lucy Berry with them as a 'lodger' then later on (1891) he is possibly mistranscibed/falsely named as Richard and with Lucy Berry- (I thnk this backs up the Berry/Mapledoram connection-I don't think they ever did marry -then death of Lucy Berry in 1903-and marriage of Fred to Elizabeth Little end 1903.-they both said they were widows-but actually don't think either had actually married before! |

Murray is obviously a mistranscription. As Lucy seems to be Berry in other censuses, and no record of a Lucy Murray in Exeter. |

William is def mine-and he James C Mapledoram is James Curry Mapldoram-his mother was Mary Curry. so looks Like Fred in the war with Elizabeth (and maybe Lucy andmaybe he was calledRichard in between!) was descended from My William and Mary/Emma then? |

I think the younger Lucy is Lucy's child from a previous marriage/relationship. |

no-I havent found another fred-but no marriage for fred/lucy or ad eath for a Lucy Mapledoram either.-doesn't look like fred/lucy had children so maybe they weren't married and her death was reistered as her real name-clutching at straws I know-Yes I think thats the later marriage too. |

Have you found another Fred? Considering his age in WW1 I'm not surprised he tried to be younger. |

Thefirst Frederick Mapledoram in 1911 had only been married 8 years to Elizabeth so this could be the marriage registration |
