Does the 1901 really say William comes from Wetherby or is it a mistranscription and do they have any children by 1901.

Both of them are refusing to show up in 1911 so I cannot check any potential children before :-

They were young when elder child was born !

And they were along way off getting married when George William was born, Gwyn

EDIT... Image states Georgina has been married 13 years, and had 5 children ,3 still living 2 have died.

Maybe he wasn't the child of both of them...?

I recently came across a scenario where the eldest child on a census was obviously born before the marriage.
It turns out ( bought certs ) that the eldest daughter did not belong to the wife, but was the illegitimate daughter of the husband and a young servant girl in his grandparents' household.
She was born 3 years before the marriage, but her mother had died aged 20., so the father raised his daughterr with his subsequent family.

Thank you all for the weird goings on. At least it's not me losing it. I hadn't seen anything of the name Dodsworth before, could there be a Garbutt/Dodsworth marriage??? Further investigation necessary.

Could this be the parents marriage...one of the brides is missing, could it be Eunice? maybe her maiden name was Adcock? if you notice on the 1911 census they state they`ve been married for 30 years ....and Georgina is 31, so think she was probably illigitimate...

Don`t worry Frances...we`ve all got some of those...the more you find out, the worse it gets...and just because I can`t find a marriage dosn`t mean there wasn`t one............that may not be the correct Wilson Adcock, but if it was it would explain why there was no marriage for Eunice and John.
