Find Ancestors

I am trying to find William John Thornewell on the 1911 census and Edith Gertrude Yarnold on the 1901 and 1911 census and any other information about them.

William was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffs in 1877 and Edith in Bradford, Warks in 1882. I have found William in 1881 aged 2 living in Loughborough, in 1891 aged 13 living in Gresley Church and in 1901 aged 23 listed as John in Victoria Barracks, Windsor and he died in 1916 in WW1.

I can only find Edith in 1891 aged 9 living in Wribbenhall, Worcs. They had a daughter Dorothy born in 1906 but not sure if they were married. After William died Edith got married to someone who had a son called Bernard.

Can anyone help?

Presumably you have Dorothy's birth cert so that you are sure of her parents' names.

Two trees on Ancestry with Edith Gertrude Yarnold

One has her married to William Thornewell, the other to Charles Thornewell.

These are the only births with Yarnald as mother's maiden name on Freebmd. (after 1914)

Yes her mother is Edith Gertrude Yarnold and father is John Thornewell and she was born in 1906 in Chelsea.
I am researching for a friend and he has just received a marriage certificate for William John Thornewell and Mary Elizabeth Webb so looks like Edith and John wern't married.

The family tree on Ancestry has the wrong information on it.

Dorothy was about 16 when she was sent to Cornwall from London, where she met and married Thomas Stone, when Edith re-married? to don't know who? who had been married before and had a son called Bernard? who was Dorothy's stepbrother.
