hi i am trying to findd any info on lizzie graham born at windsor castle, her fathers name was christopher he was a musian in the scots guards at windsor castle, lizzie also had a brother william

probably Woolwich because the Royal Artillery is based there and there was the Royal Herbert Hospital there too which was a Miltary Hospital

have deleted other post sorry pressed key twice, lizzie was born in 1876 at windsor castle she married henry moorcraft march 1905 at st peters church clerkenwell, london she was 29 years old when she married,on the marrage certificate she is down as lizzie maria graham
i know her fathers name was christopher,and he is listed at being deceased on the marraige certificate would like any infomation of her mother or other relatives.

well as you an see we have conflicting information with her father being Henry the musician and her brother being Christopher

i think you are right i think there must have been a error on the marrige certificate,and that christopher was her brother and henry was her father,as everythink else you have is correct like being married to henry moorcraft etc thanks for your help i now will just have to try and find anybody else connected to lizzie graham my grandmother

It looks very much like there are two Graham families both with fathers who were musicians. It may be that Christopher and his family aren't showing on some census because they weren't in the UK at the time.Still only the one birth coming up though for just Lizzie Graham b Windsor .but this may be the other family with father Henry, How sure are you she was born Windsor?

I'm not certain,Shirley,but I'm getting the impression that it's the same family,but Christopher has died.

If you have another look at the 1881 census it says Henry is unmarried and Elizabeth is a widow. I think Elizabeth's age is 37 on the census. It's possible that Henry is Christopher's brother...

That's interesting Maureen I didn't actually look at the 1881 census as this had already been posted but did look at the 1891 full page where Elizabeth is down as his wife so looks like she may have married her BIL Cant find any marriage so maybe they were living togther OR the enumerator thought they were husband & wife

That was my take on it too,not finding a marriage,so probably a convenient arrangement.

well some family members have mention lizzie being born in windsor and other sight users have her down as being born in windsor i have her marriage certificate and it states her fathers name as christopher graham musician and wiliam laurence graham was her witness on marriage certificate,it is confusing because its also been said her fathers name is henry and christopher was her brother so noy sure which is her father.

Yes,Margaret,Shirley and I have come to the conclusion that her father was Christopher.
After Christopher died,his wife was with a Henry Graham who could well be Christopher's brother.

Margaret from all her siblings marriges including hers her father was Christopher and she had a brother Christopher, Its looks like her dad wasnt Henry as he is with the family on the 1881 census BUT is Unmarried and her mum is down as widowed.
It looks very much as if Henry lived with the family and was Christopher's brother and also a musician.
There is just the one birth reg for Lizzie in 1876 Windsor that I would be inclined to get ,you could use her dads name as a checking point
