Find Ancestors

Trying to find James Meadows, born in either St. Helens or Ormskirk in Lancashire. I've tried to find him in the 1861 census but can't and he's living in Ormskirk as James Meadow in the 1871 census. Would especially like to find his parents but at the minute they're harder to find than Shergar...

I have just been doing some research on my tree and I came across this old post of yours. James Walmsley was my great(x3) Grandfather. He married Mary Ashton and they ahd three children Margaret, John and Ann. James died between the 1841 and 1851 census (still trying to findthe date of his death) Mary then married Jomathan Meadow in 1849 and they had a son called Menry in 1850. Mary died in 1853. Hope this helps you in your research.
