I have no idea if any of the family are buried in E.Retford but would like to go there anyway. I have looked for sanderson children but have not found any. |

Do you mean children of Doris Hewitt and Albert Sanderson? |

Do you know they are buried in the churchyard? It might be worth contacting the local municipal cemetery first, they usually have records of burials, and I have had some excellent bits of information from such records in the past. Churchyard burials were probably few and far between after about 1900, unless family already had a grave. In which case, I'd contact the church for information. |

You are dead right Feona, don't know how I missed the birth of Charles G Hewitt. I think I got onto Stevensons by mistake - apologies for confusing you. |

Nor can I find any Edwards children with a mmn Stevenson of the right age. Loads of the wrong age/wrong area of the country. |

Julie, what I meant was if the informant is NOT a member of the family, it won' t tell us anything worthwhile. Am I wrong in my logic? I do sometimes get a mental blockage! |

Feona, the death that Julie has found, well it could be right or not. Unless the informant is a member of the family (and it seems you don't know her family), you wouldn't have a clue if it was right or not. So unless you have just won the lottery, I wouldn't send for that quite yet. Maybe if we come up against a brick wall with the rest of the family. |

There are a lot of Elsie Hewitt marriages! I wonder if you could try a more indirect approach? Possibly other descendants from the family might know something. |
