I have Henry Jephcott b. 1858 Foleshill, Coventry on 1891 census with wife Mary J age 31 and children W.Leonard, Henry and George. Henry's occ is plumber and painter. They are living Spon St, Coventry. However, I have searched for him on 1901 census and the only one I can find is living Stratford Road, Birmingham with wife Clara A 37, Doris 4 and Fdk 2. Both Henry's age and occupation fit in with the previous census. The difficulty is I have yet to find a death for Mary J from the 1891 census or a marriage to a Clara from 1901 census. What do you think ? Thanks. |

Yes Marion - both bits of info you have quoted are the correct Henry. Thank you. I am still searching for a death and/or marriage in either Coventry or Birmingham area to see if I can clarify what's what. The trouble is, like lots of families, these Jephcotts use the same family names all the while an have a horrible habit os sometimes using the middle names as well !! |

Marion - that is brilliant. I have looked at the one with the photo and text and reading through it, it does confirm our suspicions that he was not married to Clara but does confirm we have the right fellow. I had no idea how to copy the photos so have printed the whole article off to scan later. However, I cannot manage to get on to the site roulstone.net/_family/wallace/sw1830 - what does it contain please ? Thank you so much for this, you have been wonderful. How on earth id you find these sites ? |

I had found that image of St. Lukes Road but for some reason read it as J. Johnson - what a fool. This is also useful information. |
