Sorry, I misunderstood your 22:58 post. I find it quite difficult when there is no punctuation. I thought you meant he was on a census as the nephew. |

The 1881 census doesn't say he is a nephew. It doesn't have any relationship at all. I can find Alice & Solomon in 1871 but not after that. |

Is John Barnes c1868 your ancestor? Do you have his marriage cert to prove the connection? Are you certain the other three - Edwin, Thomas & Henry are hers too? |

Sharon, going back to the beginning; have you ever found John & Jane with their children Sarah, Thomas, Edwin and Henry together on a census? Are they the same family? What evidence do you have that any of these names are connected, including Jane Hearson? Marriage certificate? Birth certificate of one of the children? |
