1901 don't know if this helps to" rule out" any birth indexes but there are these searching "Joseph Carter dob 1891+/-1yr London" |

Janey, I ain't got no Carters in my family, not unless you go back to 1792 in Sandbach, Cheshire. Heck, tell a lie, I've got one in Northamptonshire! Will pm you. |

With a birthdate in mid-Sept I also would not rule out a fourth quarter registration of the birth, whatever year it was. |

Many fostered children were relatives, but I can't see anything that connects these Keatleys. No Carters in there. |

Not Sure how to find out why he was in Meriden, I wouldn`t think he was related as he was a foster child. I have found out all births of Joseph Carters in London, and the all deaths of Josephs in London, to narrow the search. The area Poplar seems to be a lead but even if i order this Birth Cert, i dont think this would help. His Birth Day seems to be 19th Sept. However, on his death & Marriage Cert it Says Born 1890. All Census records Seem to Point Towards Being born in 1892. Maybe the way forward is to order the birth certificate for Poplar to see if the date of birth is the 19th Sept. |
