I think she is Anne Boylan born in Ireland 1881... all that side of my family died before I was 12, on the census I think she lied stating she was born in Bootle she may of lied re dob also... I remember a story from my mother staying she was on her way to New York from Ireland and decided to get off in Liverpool as she thought it looked like she could make a good living...taking meat back and forth to Ireland- I found a ship record and Anne Boylan was the only name with no tick next to it...

Hmm I’m not very good at this.. how much was fabricated in stories I don’t know -
In the 1911 census when married she states she was 29 born in Bootle - but according to my mother she was born in Ireland - my mother has 2 cousins left who would also be Anne grandchildren I will try ask some questions - thanks again

The birth Maddie found in 1879 was an illegitimate birth (from the GRO website) which is probably why she was adopted.

My uncle Peter who would be Anne’s grandson is convinced she was born Blackrock Dublin Ireland In 1881... I’ll keep digging thanks for all your help x
