I thaught you had to put a new thread up each time you found out some new information. After talking to someone at the GRO it looks like my father did not have a middle name of John. That was entered in error so it is just Edward Burdett and yes it looks like Freewheeler was right in that he is dead but now got to try and sort out how to find any of his relatives that may be alive.
