If you are looking for Irish ancestors I would suggest putting Ireland in your heading, to attract the attention of people who can help.
Do you have their marriage cert? If not it would be a start, giving his approximate birth year and father's name. (He has a middle name too it seems!).

Marriages Dec 1921 (>99%)

If you put George's name into the search box above you will see that three people have him in their tree. You can hopefully contact the tree owners for more information. Regards.

Was there not a similar/identical thread on the board in the last few days?

Maybe I'm just thinking of the old threads Mandy was replying to, lol.

Mandy, marriage was simple to find - just go to the freebmd site at:

www.freebmd.org.uk

There you will have all the info you need to order the cert. from the GRO (general records office).

To amend your title, just click on EDIT at the bottom left of the box in which you posted your message.

And please use the purple REPLY button to add any feedback (it's just below your title)

Any posting advising you that you had dug up an old message was probably not 'sarc' - just trying to help you...................

I don't know, Mandy, maybe someone else sent you a PM ...

I think the schools need to teach how to use dictionaries. (No, that is not sarcasm either.)

The PM from "MR sarcastic" to Mandy, for the info of anyone wondering.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Mandy, have you seen the replies people have posted to the messages you have been adding to threads? Click on 'My threads' on the left of the discussion boards to find them all.

You are replying to very old messages. At the time some were written it was not even possible to add replies. Most of those members probably are no longer active here and they will not be looking for replies to their posts. If you are lucky they will still have the same email addresses and will get notices if you send them private messages by clicking on their names.

Meanwhile as Ann suggested you can start a thread of your own which could be more productive than hiding your information in other people's threads!

Also, if you see something like 'to view the entire trying to find board, click here' when you look at Trying to Find it means you are looking only at messages for one surname, everyone else is seeing the messages on the entire board, so click there to see how it looks.

No need to reply to me, I just wanted to be sure you had seen people's advice!

Best wishes,

Bruce

Glad to see you took my advice.

PLEASE can people delete all references to the "sarc" PM. This is all my fault for not checking properly when I copied and pasted Mandy's PM. to me. (Actually, I didn't realise what she meant!).
I shall delete the reference myself.
Thanks folks!

Mandy...The KeoHane Surname is found in West Cork...and the Mealagh Valley lies just outside Bantry...dont know if this fits with anything you know about your Keohane Heritage.
Just to add...note the George on 1911 census was twin.

No, brummiejan, not you, Mandy's been posting it around.

'Sorry I messed up OK BIG TIME I am new to this thank you to the people that have tried to help as for MR sarcastic well my appologies'

Nothing to do with messing up -- people who come here TO HELP get frustrated when they see someone who might be able to find information they are looking for if they posted their inquiry but instead are futilely replying to 3-year old or 7-year-old posts. People who come here TO HELP don't just spontaneously get 'sarcastic' with people who aren't dong anything _wrong_, they are just not using the board to their best advantage.
