But Derek why don't you just put the info here? since this is the thread about the person and some day in the distant future when Genesreunited and everything else in teh world is owned by Rupert Murdoch ... or his descendants ... somebody may come looking for it and find it, lol.

Re the 1861 census, image says Northumberland, not Nottinghamshire, and 'Killinworth" I think.

These are all from the International Genealogical Index on www.familysearch.org ............a FREE site

and they are all Extracted records which means that they have been taken from the actual parish registers.

You have to be very wary of Submitted records on familysearch ..... these have been sent by individuals, usually Mormon church members, and there is no backing documentation for them.

We really are at risk of duplicating here I think folks, that 'lookup thread' problem

http://www.genesreunited.com.au/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1191073&px=5

Derek's thread, I dunno why it could not all have been done here, but I'm going to copy from there so nobody else spends time on what's been done

Derek Yesterday at 23:47

Hi Michelle.........ISABELLA BOAG..is indeed a tangled web.......
She was born in Crich 1849..her parents were Robert Boag and Margaret Carr.........Robert was from Killington in northumberland .......and married margaret Carr in 1845.
But Margaret died 1848 and Robert remarried to a JANE ROBINSON in 1848.............don't ask me how or why, but by 1861 they were in Crich Derbyshire.......where Robert fathered another five children (at least) by jane........

Mary jane boag 1850
Henrietta 1852
Henry B 1854
Susanna 1856
Theodore 1860

ISABELLA BOAG married JOHN CARR of Dronfield Derbys 03.01.1866

I have no idea whether this John Carr is in any way related to isabella's mother..maybe is a cousin.....I'll keep looking.

Derek

Michele Yesterday at 23:55

Thank you derek lve looked at 1861 census and isabella boags g parents john and jane carr are also living in derbyshire but theres another carr family in that census trying to link them up many thanks for that info michelle

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Derek Today at 00:04

Hello Michelle..yes..they are the parents of Margaret carr..isabella's mother.....I have found also that ROBERT BOAG was a Wesleyan Methodist...and Non-conformist records are not that easy to come by....but i can tell you that THEODORE BOAG was born 28.10.1860 and baptised 18.12.1860 at Cromord Wesleyan Methodist Chapel.........and there ia a younger brother WILLIE WILLIS BOAG baptised in the same chapel 17.08.1863.......

Jane nee Robinson wife of Robert boag was buried at Crich 18.07.1887
ADDITION 00.13.Monday.

JOHN CARR husband of Isabella was born at bedlington 1834..died Sheffield 1885. He had a wife ELIZABETH REED whom he married at Newcastle 28.08.1858..she appears to have died....and by 1865 he is in Dronfield Derbys where he married isabella (at Crich)
He either had the first child by Elizabeth and took her with him to Derbyshire..or they are all isabella's..I think the former is more likely:-

Catherine Hannah Carr 1862
Harold Valentine Carr 1867-1910
Harry Sinclair Carr 1868
Leonard Stanley Carr 1869-1873
Albert Boag Carr 1871-1889
Frederick Charles Carr 1872
Margaret Eveline Carr 1874
Lilian Hetty Carr 1878
Reginald Ellsworth Carr 1880

All the best
