I have been watching this thread and going up blind alleys for a while. I also can't see Henry!

And judjing by the births and baptisms for children Henry was flitting between the 2 women,Catherine and Ellen may or may not have known I guess.

Margaret on here is said to be Henrys child also, she is Brenda,s mother so I would think all the others are his too as Ellen,s husband absconded to Ireland.
Theodore Obrien not on here I note, nor to be found in 1911 or a death for him,did he go to Ireland as well?

They are Henry and Ellens children K.
Brenda sent me a PM saying that the boys of the union were reg as Duffin(Henry and Bertram) but not the girls,I guess Henry thought that girls werent worth givinghis name for some reason !

I have been unable to find any trace of Henry Duffin c1870/73 for sure anywhere on census!

Glad to see the name Suitters has appeared - I found these two births but couldn't find a corresponding marriage, but if Ellen and Henry never appear to have married these could still be their children

Ellen what other married name?

If you really want some help to try and find Henry Duffin we need as much info as possible.

In your message to me you say you have what you believe to be his marriage to Catherine Hart, the one that I put on here earlier.
That says he was born in 1870 and his father was Henry Duffin ,fishmonger,so have you found him on any census with his parents?

Saved heating up the bath water I spose...

That is so true about his age Ann ,but I thnk it must be the one on that marriage born 1870 as he is a Brass worker.
Beggared if I can find them in 1901 though,or him in 1911

Mind you it will have been a waste of time searching when the poster comes back and tells me I have the wrong Henry Duffin !!
