If it is it would mean it wasn't the right one as he died an old man.

muddybootz

muddybootz Report 5 Dec 2009 15:50

Is that the April to June quat.? That would fit if he was baptised in May. I'll try that. Thank you

Julie

Julie Report 5 Dec 2009 15:49

Ann

this might be the death to go with that birth

Deaths Jun 1855 (>99%)
Thorne Male Blandford 5a 197

lancashireAnn

lancashireAnn Report 5 Dec 2009 15:44

how about this one - right year & reg district - not all those registered without an actual name were babies who died shortly after birth

Births Jun 1855 (>99%)
Thorne Male Blandford 5a 257

edit
Cranbourne was only transferred to Blandford dstrict in 1937 - previously Wimborne but still a possiblity

The irritating thing is that neither Flower or Charles have their fathers names on the marriage cert.

Thank you so much Margaret. that does sem to be William's christening. I think the Thorne/ flower marriage is there to confuse us though. That does seem to be Charles' baptism. I just need to find Williams birth GRO ref. now. Many thanks again for all of your help.
