Find Ancestors

Has anyone got ideas for how I can find out some information on Jane A Shacklocks born in 1842 in holloway london parents without ordering her birth certicate? I can't find her in the 1851 census.

What do you know about her, that you are looking for her?

I would guess that the info you have is from a marriage record and census info post-census. Could you provide those here?

Her birth was probably not registered...........no penalty imposed until 1875 for not registering births

Marriage cert would give father's name, but birth cert would give both names.
I think georgina is hoping to avoid ordering either. ;)
