Just an update on Emma Farrell / Wylie . My sister believes she remembers my Father going to his Mother Emma's funeral approx 1957 / 58 and it must have been in Lancashire because he couldn't drive ( or indeed afford to own a car ) |

HI ALL , I am still searching for any info on my Grandfather John Farrell from Bootle Liverpool . I thought I had at least found a death cert , but date of birth is 2 days out ( do errors occur on documents like this in 1970 ? ) |

Hello Peter - it's quite possible that Emma took up with another man and used his name without the benefit of marriage, perfectly legal to do so. |

I have made great inroads into my family tree since my last post , and I would once again thank you all for your help . But alas I am still unable to trace what happened to my Grandfather John Farrell (b 1890 Bootle Lancs) and my Grandmother Emma Farrell nee Wylie (b 1896 Bootle Lancs) . |

Thanks once again mgnv , there will be a need to trace a few BMD's from Ireland now as at least two of my ancestors appeared to have returned to Ireland . |

The family Clover found you in 1901 Michael & Catherine, most of the children born in Liverpool. Catherine maiden name McCrink, Michaels father a John. Michael could be a cousin to your Michael. |

Clover , your info on Peter ,Rose and daughter Alice in 1901 census seems to suggest that Peter returned from England which fits in as we could find no trace in English 1901 census. |

Indeed, giving a link to where information is found / can be found is really the best thing to do! |
