There is no sign of a Duncan Morrison being born in 1899 or 1900 in Greenock on Scotlandspeople (son of Duncan and Jane ?)

The nearest births for that name in that area are in 1896 (there are 2)

Someone looked him up for me at the records office and gave me that info. Someone else gave me info that he was born in England?

Usually both the records office and the information on Scotlandspeople match up ... as they come from one and the same system. When you go to the records office in Edinburgh, you are actually logging on to Scotlandspeople ... via their computers.

I would need to see the evidence for myself before I would feel confident in what you've been told.

But I'm open to being corrected ... could be I'm wrong.
