Well thank you all for all your detective work!! Now I will make it even stranger for you....on the marriage cert for William Timpson and Louisa Price (which I had already sent for) I have the fathers name for Louisa reading Henry Tatham...cattle dealer.....so he must have been the man who got Mary into the family way!!So Mary married a Levi Alderman and gave Louisa the name of Alderman just for appearances sake, but when she got married she had to put down the name on her birth cert. She is down as being 20 on 31-10-1879 her marriage day and William Timpson is 26 and a Milk Carrier which ,if my memory serves me right I saw on some other census/document .Well back to the searching for his and hers birth certs now...thanks once again for the help.

So the original marriage posted earlier Louisa Price to William Timpson is the correct one after all that!

Trees on Ancestry for levi but they are private.
Two on Rootsweb.com.One with Levi's family going back to 1612 another has Levi married to mary ann Pitkin in 1861 they have son william 15th March 1863 Mary Ann Pitkin died 1863 he then married Mary Price 27th April 1863 which would have been only about six weeks after the death of first wife!!!!!!!!

Cracked it ,they are the same
1891 Mary and Levi Alderman,with them are William Simpson born bayswater 1880/1 and fredk simpson born @ 1887 Sutton in Surrey they are grandsons.
This is another case of transcribers getting it wrong,when you look at original it definateley says TIMPSON.

They also have written Bayswater India instead of London.

What do you think of this,On 1861 census for Louisa price age 1 she is grandaughter to John and hannah,they had Mary with age 17 @ 1844 I think she is the mother of louisa.
Mary isn't with them in 1871 but louisa still is.
1863 in Winslow A/M/J 3a page 605 a Mary Price marries Levi Aderman?
He was born 1838 in Swanbourne bucks.
1871 Mary Alderman born @ 1842 in North Marston Bucks and Levi Alderman,they are in Cleam Surrey with son william born 1863.

I think this is your louisa and the reason you couldn't find the correct marriage.

Well if the 1881 census is correct and it looks as though it is.W V son 7 months born Battersea midlesex.
A William Bernon Timpson reg J/A/S 1880 V1a Page 75 in kensington london.
I think this is Vernon middle name.
William Vernon Timpson born @ 1881 died in Epsom Surrey (Same Area) in 1900.V2a Page 15
So they should have got married 1880 at least.

Have now got birth certs that confirm Louisa 's maiden was Alderman.Marriage of a william Timpson to a Louisa in 1879 was wrong....maiden name was Price.I have searched under Alderman for 1875-1885....no marriage that I can find....I cross checked with Timpson/timson and nothing...I am baffled except they need not have got married!!!!! " addresses showed up on birth certs;
1882-1884...5 Lind Rd, Bishops Place
1884-1903..50 Warwick Rd.
Now the Lind Rd one showed up for William being there when he was 26 and married....but I just don't know where to go from here?????? Any ideas anyone??....please!!!

I am amazed at all the replys!!!Let me go over them all over the weekend and I will post the answers....Alderman came from my Mum when she was alive, she knew her maiden name.
