Hi Steve,
Thanks again - the information has been very interesting and useful indeed. I will add it to what I have already and see if there are any more gaps you may be able to fill for me. I have a shipping record of a Mr and Mrs Hoenger and 3 children sailing from Adelaide to Sydney in Dec, 1892, so they must have decided to patch things up and make a new life in NSW. Lots of records of Rudolphe senior in the 1900's until his death in 1922, but no more of Anna/Hannah Maria/Clara Schneider. Or baby Frederich. Otto turns up as a primary school student in Hindmarsh Valley (photo in SA State Library records) but i have no record of the family having been in that part of SA. Anyway, you've sertainly made things a lot clearer for me.
Regards,
Anne

Hi Steven,
Could you search your records for me. I have a John Brady who came from Dublin to Australia. All I can tell you is that he married in Victoria in 1856 in Warambool. I have not been able to find when or where he arrived in Australia or a death record for the man. Very elusive! According to his marriage in 1856 he was about 24 so I estimate he was born about 1832. I know he was a Gold miner and at the goldfields near Ballarat about 1856/1857 as well. Would you be able to search the SA records? I thought he may have arrived thru SA. Many thanks for your time and help and I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Regards
Rhonda

Hello Steve,
I contacted you recently regarding my relatives in the Hoenger family. I now have a request for you from a cousin of my husband's. He is trying to find information about his great grandfather, John Warrick. John was born in Cornwall in 1835 but ended up in Moonta as a copper miner where he died in his thirties in 1871. Rob is wondering if you are able to find any information about the cause of death of John. Any other information would, of course, be appreciated.
Thanks for your help,

Anne

Hi Ann
I found the following on him in the BISA:
WARRICK John b: c1835 CON ENG d: 21.4.1871
bd: Moonta Mines SA arr: 1857 NAVARINO occ: Miner
res: Moonta Mines rel: SoF
m: by 1857 Sarah b: c1835
I could not find a death for him,but found a death for a John Warwick who died 19-4-1871 aged 37,Moonta Mines. It has a different death date but is probably him as its only 2 days different.
To find the cause of death you need to look at his death certificate.
I also found the following info on Ancestory:
John Warrick b 6 april 1834 in St Austell, Cornwall, England

John Warrick and his wife Sarah arrived in South Australia aboard the 493 ton ship Navarino on 16 July 1857. The ship had departed Plymouth on 8 April 1857. They settled in Moonta where he died aged 37. His religion was Society of Friends (Quaker)

Married to Sarah Bennallack in 1857 St Austill, Cornwall

I can get info on Johns siblings, parents and 5 children,do you need any of this info ?

Can you tell me which of Johns Children is your husbands cousin related to ??
There are several photos of Jane Alice Warrick (Johns daughter) that i have found also.

Steve

Thanks, Steve, for your prompt and thorough research. I have passed the information on to Rob. He is the grandson of Jane Alice Warrick so he would very much appreciate those photos.
