oh my lord apologies. to everyone james was a copper works foreman and isaac worked for him. i am so sorry for confusing people. we are really trying to find out what happened to isaac from birth....who his natural parents were. its just that in later life he lost both his legs in an accident and doesnt seem to have had much of a beginning either. ...apologies again. marie |

cassy your fabulous. it is him. the reason i know is that isaac m banks ismy husbands grandad who was adopted by james. we dont know why and hubby didnt know grandad even was adopted so this is absolute gold for me. |

thanks cassy but given what i have found on his death record. the date of birth is pretty accurate. and he was a labourer. married, but cant track down the wifes name or date of marriage yet. but so grateful for your help |

hi janey and many thanks. he was born 1852 0r 53 in speke lancashire. labourer. and in the early census living in speke, but in the 1901 living at 17 mersey view road halewood lancashire. married but cant find wife.this is all fascinating but it needs some studying doesnt it? best regards marie |
