Hi Lorraine,
Thanks for your offer!
I have 2 requests that I'd love help with. First is Louise Muriel Hillary Penrose (nee Collings) Moved to Canada sometime after 1974 and visited England in 1981 returning to Canada and dying after that. She was born in 1905 in Essex London.

Second is Abraham Renaud and his wife Justyn Wilhelmine Renaud (nee Schmidt) who left Germany sometime in the 1870's. for America with, I think 4 of their children, Bertha, Johann Friedrich, Anna, and William. Elise aka Lizzie was probably born either on journey or in America. Somehow they had their last child Carl Hermann abt 1881 in France before finally arriving in Brisbane Australia in 1884.
On the shipping document into Australia their name was spelt Renard. On other docs it has been spelt Renand so that may help you.
If there is any other info you need please let me know although I don't think I have too much else that would help.
Many thanks ahead for your efforts,
Kind regards
Sue

Hi Lorraine,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, the info you found on Catherine Margam & John Harper's children, is correct, I've been going through all my paperwork to see if i've got any other info. that might help you locate James Margam. In a letter dated 19/11/1880 James was working in Aspen, (something to do with the coal & silver mines) he also visited Los Angeles. His brother William also out in the US (letter dated 7/12/1880) gives Williams address as 818 East Fifth St, Leadville, Colorado. I only have a box no. for James's address in 1880. I don't know if this is of any help to you. (My relie seems to have vanished after 1882)? I'm really greatful of any help with this. Many thanks,

ShelleyRose
I don't think the Edward Margam family, is mine.

Thankyou very much for what you have found. It seems right as Mary was known as Polly. I don't know anymore details I'm afraid, which does make it difficult as there are so many Evans. Wonder what happened to Fred?

Thanks again
Jenny

Hi Lorraine

Brothers Arthur White b.1880 and Frederick White b.1882 Oxfordshire are supposed to have gone to Canada c.1902 and died 1903. Can you find a record of their crossing and deaths? An American relative has said they died in MacDonald and are buried in Burnside Cemetery, 7 miles west of Portage La Prairie Manitoba.

Another brother Cecil White b.1876 m (Frances) Mercy Watts and had children Grace 1902 Fred 1904 Benjamin 1906 Florence 1908 Cecil 1910 and Ethel 1912. They are still in Oxfordshire 1911, but Cecil went to Canada c 1912 and sent for his family in 1915, and Cecil (the senior) d.1918 and is buried with his brothers. Can you find a record of their crossing or where they settled, probably around Portage La Prairie Manitoba too?

Thanks

Helen

Hi Lorraine

My grandfather George Alfred White b 1878 came to England from Canada supplying horses for the army during WW1. He is reported by family members to have travelled back and forth to Canada during the war. He married my grandmother Caroline O'Rourke in 1917 and then settled in England dying in 1929. I do not know any details of his family in Canada except his father's name from the marriage certificate, which was George Alfred White (deceased). I was wondering if you could check on the passenger lists for that period to see if he appears. It might give me a base to start searching Canadian records. I would be really grateful for any help as I have not dug up any concrete clues yet.

Thankyou

Regards Linda

Hello Lorraine,
I don't know whether you can help me or not as I don't have enough information to go on but I am looking for my Uncle Leslie Mark Green born 1914 Dover Kent. I don't know if he was married but I was told he emigrated to Canada. His two brothers emigrated in the 60's and 80's and they went to Vancouver so it is probable that he went there to. I have just checked once again for marriages and their are three but I couldn't say if any are the correct ones as I don't know where he was living.
Kind regards
Julia
