Hello i'am trying to find the marriage between James Revell born 1822 and Mary Ann Mickleburgh born 1825 those are the names on my G Gma's birth certificate her name was Florence May Eliza or Elizabeth Revell. The first child was born 1850/51 I have looked on the Freereg BMD site but no luck so if anyone can help it will be much appreciated, the children were all born in the Norfolk, Depwade area.

So are you saying that Mary Ann gave birth at the age of 52?? Could it be possible that this is a second marriage and was later than thought?

That is a big age difference as Sam said

Perhaps he married again. Or could she be the grandaughter of James and Mary Ann

Hi Peter so you don't think the 1881 census I posted is any good?

Mary is shown as a widow.

If James married again what year and to who - this may explain the late birth

I think the Marriage that Sam found might be worth checking:

Marriages Dec 1857
Burroughs James Revell Guiltcross 4b 646
Mickleboro Mary Ann Guiltcross 4b 646

Guiltcross is in Norfolk

I Still think this is the right family, and that the marriage Sam gave was correct:

Marriages Dec 1857
Burroughs James Revell Guiltcross (Norfolk) 4b 646
Mickleboro Mary Ann Guiltcross (Norfolk) 4b 646

- it seems they use Revell as their middle names. Here they are (with Eliza) on the 1881 census (spelt Burrows):

Civil parish: Bunwell
County/Island: Norfolk
Country: England

Registration district: Depwade
Sub-registration district: Forncett
ED, institution, or vessel: 10

James R. Burrows 48
Mary A.R. Burrows 40
William B. Burrows 18
Adelaide R. Burrows 14
Charles R. Burrows 9
Rosa R. Burrows 6
Eliza R. Burrows 4

>>Civil parish Bunwell, Registration District Depwade- think this is definately worth checking further.

This is the same family in 1871 (Burrows Mistranscibed):

Civil parish: Bunwell
County/Island: Norfolk
Registration district: Depwade
Sub-registration district: Forncett
ED, institution, or vessel: 9
Household schedule number: 47

James Burrous 38
Mary A Burrous 36
James Burrous 15
Mathew Burrous 13
Horrace Burrous 10
William Burrous 7
Ellen Burrous 5
Addelay Burrous 3
Charles Burrous 6 weeks

This looks like the same family in 1861- using the name REVELL (Mistranscribed as Bevell):

Civil parish: Carleton Rode
Ecclesiastical parish: Norwich
County/Island: Norfolk
Registration district: Depwade
Sub-registration district: Forncett
ED, institution, or vessel: 11
Household schedule number: 33

James Bevell 28
Mary Ann Bevell 24
James Bevell 5
Mathew Bevell 3
George Horace Bevell 4 Mo

Hope this helps
