Hi

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that I am going to have to approach the online parish clerk for St Just again as it was the information that she gave me that led me to believe that the my tree is totally incorrect from the 4th generation upwards.

I have just realised that Amelia Woolcock Trembath's connection to the Woolcock family is through the first James Trembath born 1770 that started off this saga/ thread (his parents were William Trembath and Elizabeth Woolcock) ........ so now I appear to be back to square one and my head hurts!!

Thank you for trying everyone

Hi there Hilary - take a look on the free Mormon LDS site - it is awash with Trembath's and Nankervis's from Cornwall

Thanks Ann ....... I've been trying to use the IGI/ LDS /Family Search website all night and also the Cornwall OPC site. Im a newbie and I just can't seem to find the results that I am looking for.

Will go back to OPC as Margaret specialises in Nankervis. Ive also ordered the death certificate from the GRO for James Trembath and hoping I might gain a clue from that too

Beware of taking pedigrees for granted from the Family Search site - they are submitted records and may not have been checked for accuracy. Some appear to be works of fiction!! The only things on that site that you can believe are extracted records, where the originals have been photographed and transcribed - even then it pays to view the film to check the transcription - it's surprising how often you find extra notes in the registers.
