John Smith married Mary Ann around 1872. He was from Eccleshall Sheffield and she was born in Dronfield Derbyshire in 1837.Try as I might I can't find their marriage or her maiden name. |

Did they have any children? Have you found them on any census? |

I would think the best thing would be to order the birth cert specifying father John Smith and mother Mary Ann. |

Smith is the worst surname in the world and it looks as though John married a Smith as well! he Derbyshire /Yorkshire area is confusing. |

The marriage took place in 1871 and I just had to check that the 1871 census was taken before the marriage as they were both at home on the census. Big sigh of relief as the dates are fine! |
