Update: looking back, I believe the father is Isaac not Ham. The 'Is' looks very much like a florid 'H' and the rest of the name goes into a bit of a squiggle. Enlarging the image to 200% you can make out the '...aac'.

Also I believe he was born in Stroud Water. There's a Stroudwater Canal in Gloucestershire.
