i am so stuck its doing my head in. in my tree i have alfred moore b1845 halesowen married to ellen cross b1848 halesowen. i can not for the life of me find a marriage for them and i can't find their parents. see i got a family tree sheet i want to fill in as a gift to my mother and these two are the only two who i cant find the parents for. in some census's it says alfred was from halesowen, one says stafford, one says worcester. the 1911 says halesowen so does the 1871 in 1871 they are in riley regis then after that they are in stockton. they have children called walter, joseph, jane, john, emily, fanny, and samuel. in the 1871 census their child is william but i have since found out that he is william walter. it looks like he uses the name walter on rest of census,s. please if anyone can find either a marriage for me so i can get the cert or just find out who their parents were i would be over the moon. best wishes helen |

This is the closest I've got with a marriage. Perhaps they never did marry? |

to all, the sibling samuel i have on my tree was born in 1901, he was adopted out in the 1911 census as alfred was a widow by then, he was adopted to the people living next door name of bishop. ive yet to work out who they are. so the samuel that wilma mentions i dont know who he is |

OK what could have happened is that Alfred was born out of wedlock and he was registered as Alfred Moore |
