I just needed someone to tell me that what we have here is right.

I just dont know where this other person has got her info from as it does not match what we have, and Zillah is sure a rare name.

I dont want to be the one to upset anyone by saying something is wrong

As you have no certs, you need to analyse your evidence. Your's is

She was born in the Brentford area in 1886 (only one birth listed with this name.

You have the 1911 census for Amy Hatcher born Acton which shows her married for 7 years. Amy Zilliah Brown mariried Q3 1904 therefore she'd been married for the same period

You have the 1891 & 1901 census for Amy Brown born Acton which is in the Brentford registration district

Her mother's name was listed on the census/ marriage as Zillah which is Amy's middle name (no good if she'd been Mary/Jane but Zillah has never been in the top 100 names)

Now look at your contact's info, does she have any better evidence than you?

It's impossible to be 100% certain without certs but your evidence is strong & I'd say it's correct

I havent seen either marriage certs for this man, but shall be ordering them at the end of the month.

Have also had a reply from someone who has Amy Zillah Brown in her tree and has given me access, but do have a problem as the siblings do not match what has been found on this thread today.

The only thing that is a match is the marriage date and cert ref no that they have.

Im a little concerned now, one of us is wrong?

It's possible that the cople divorced, have you seen Leonard's second marriage cert? Does it say previous marriage disolved?

Ok have now managed to find her at long last on the 1911 census, showing that the marriage lasted 7 years aged 24 and no children which means she would have died later than 1918 at the age that she was in 1911.
Gosh how did i get so confused with the 1918 one?????

I cant even find her on the 1911 census, under Hatcher or Brown.
Why?

Oh lord, looks like i got my wires crossed.
Oh well more research and looking up to do.
So i wonder what happened to her and when she died?

Samantha I don't think the Amy Hatcher who died 1918 Epsom is your's, she's tooooo old!

I suspect that Amy Zillah was very much alive & kicking when Leonard's children were born

I will have to find info for the death cert and order it to find out who the infomant was and how/what she died of.

It might be worth looking a Amy's death cert to see who the informant was or the 1911 to see who she was living with.

I take it that Leonard had children with another woman but I can't see a second marriage so perhaps he & Amy parted

Mmmm i wonder if he stayed in the Middlesex area as i know he was living in Wraysbury in the 1920s.

Something really not adding up here.

Did she marry Leonard Hatcher?

So we know that its the same family so i dont have to get myself confused on this one (thank godness).

And i know that she married my great grandfather in 1903 in Brentford, never found any children for them and that she died in Epsom 1918 with no family around (something not right there)

I should add that places of bith match totally with those families in 1891 and 1901, despite the difference in wife's name so they're definitely the same family.

This is the same family in 1891, looking at the image the wife's name could be Zillah, rather than Lillah (could have been a nickname for Priscilla). The middle initial in Amy's name looks like the same letter as her mother's name starts with, so she could be Amy Z. Brown, giving you as match.
