Find Ancestors

I am finding it near impossible to find anything on my ancesters with having a name like Jones. All I can find is my grandfather married my nan Annie Owen in 1920 in Warrington on there it states his father was Joseph Jones deceased.
John died 25.6.1929 due to misadventure aged 40
which means he was born 1889-1890
They had my father Norman Cedric Jones in 1924
And thats it. i can not find out anymore. Can anyone help please, I would be most grateful - wendy

Wendy, can you let us know his and maybe the father's occupation and your nan's name?

Also his death may have been reported in the newspaper so maybe contact the local library and see if there is anything in there that might help.

I have looked on ancestry his death in 1929 he was aged 40 John edward Jones

and died in Warrington , So that makes his age abt 1889/1890

but cant find no marriage yet

I have added as much information as I can. Hoping that some one can help. I am not even sure if my grandfather was born in England might have been Wales.... I have no living relative that can help. so any help would be gratefully appreiciated -Wendy

I have their Marriage certificate : Dated 6.9.1920 in the parish of Padgate, Warrington John edward Jones age 30 Farm laborour His Father Joseph Jones (deceased) abd the occupation is very hard to make out Castrutor (well that what it looks like). my nan Annie Owen was born 24.6.1900 Her father was Thomas Owen who dies before she was born. the witnesses were Isaac Owen and ada bibby.
On my grandfathers death certificate dated 25.6.1929 it says he was killed by a collision certificate was received from deputy coroner after inquest help 27.6.1929 John's occupation at the time was dairyman

Yes I have found inforamtion on my nan, Its my granfather John edward Jones that I can not find anything before his marriage to my nan - Wendy

there are two, john jones, in warrington of the right age on 1911
no john edward jones, but his middle name may not have been given
have you checked them and tried following them back if they had a widowed mother or father joseph?
