PLEASE CAN ANY1 HELP ON THIS ONE SHE WAS MY GRAN SHE LIVED IN MANCHESTER A PLACE CALLED ECCLES SADLY SHE PASSED AWAY LATE 70S EARLY 80S SHE HAD 3 CHILDREN ROBERT RONALD AND MY MUM JOAN.SHE WAS BORNc1894.UNCLE ROBERT MARRIED PAT RON MARRIED CHRIS AND MY MUM MARRIED REG.MY GRAN BECAME A PARSONS MY GRANDFATHER WAS WILLIAM HE PASSED AWAY EARLY 1930's thankyou aileen

sorry abt the caps oops didnt realise sorry.gran was born ada lily have seen my mums birth cert gran lived with william parsons he passed away when my mum was 3yrs old

Having looked at the censuses I think Aileen means her maiden name was Lily.

Aileen - you say your gran became a Parsons - did she marry William? If so, do you have any idea when?

oops see how stupid i am she was a lily( surname) i know she had at least 1 sister named alice lily and that for a while she lived in barton

not sure she lived with him and all 3 children had his surname.they were all born in barton(thats where they were reg)and my eldest sister was born there

This seems likely if she was born In the Manchester area

Looks like possibly a spelling mistake on Joan's birth reg, if this is her.

Aileen, you do need to give all the info you have -- for instance, you can see your mum's birth certificate, but we can't, so we don't know what year your mum was born, or where, etc.

Is that her birth above there? Are the other children in the right order, so would they be your mum's brothers do you think?


It doesn't look like William and Ada married.
