i think john william howarth was his father i was told that he died shortly after my grandad was born so thanks again im on nights at the moment and this comp will only let me do so much so will have to wait till i can beat my kids to the comp at home just hope my typing finger holds out filling all the info to my tree lol

he died on 26th may 1980 in chesterfield hospital derbyshire
nearly 29 years ago i will never forget how happy i was when i stayed with them during summer hols they were 2 of the most kindest carering wonderfull people i have had the pleasure in calling my nan & grandad
i was in my teens when they died i never went to their funeral my head was all messed up at the time will never forgive myself for that if only you could turn back time sorry rambling on

I take it your grandad is no longer with us....do you know the year he died and maybe we can get his dob etc from that? It could be they married after 1930 which would mean the marriage hasn't been transcribed on freebmd yet. If we get that we find out about his side.

hi Barbara wow thanks i loved my nan & grandad very much they were the only decent thing that happened to me in my childhood i miss them i tried a few years ago to trace their family with no luck ive found out more in the last few days because of people like you so thank you again there was a vesna thompson dob 1972 from halifax on here looking for my grandad maybe she is a cousin who knows and yes that was a cheeky hint on the end there so if anyone can help i will be very gratefull
