Find Ancestors

I can't find any that seem to fit. This is driving me up the wall, I'm never gonna crack this line of my family!

I've finally received the birth certificate of my great nan Grace Gertrude Marsh born 21st March 1904 registered in Toxteth Park district of Liverpool. There is no father on the cert although I wasn't expecting there to be since she was born as the result of an affair! Her mother was Sarah Emily Eaton Barrett, a domestic servant (i'm presuming at 31 Grey Street since that's where Grace was born)
I've ordered the marriage cert of Sarah and George Henry Marsh but I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me try and located Sarah.

i am looking for any help on michael & maria STUDZOR they were born 1806 & 1809 in cork, ireland but i am unable to find any reference to any STUDZOR outside of western australia

OK, I've had contact from another GR member and it would appear that George Henry Studsor Marsh (1854 Western Australia) was the biological father of Grace Gertrude Barrett (1904 Liverpool).

George was married to Eliza Wells at the time and they employed Sarah E Barrett as a servant at some point. George then had an affair with Sarah and they had Grace, George (1910) and Mary (unsure of birthdate). Straight after Eliza died, George and Sarah married in 1913 in Liverpool.

If anyone could help me with an Australian lookup i'd be very grateful as I have no idea where to start. George's parents were Maria Studsor and either John or Frederick Marsh. I've seen 2 different trees and they have different fathers on them.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Eric, I'd like to say a huge thank you to you. The George Henry Marsh you found is in fact the correct one. I now cant wait to see if my great grandmother's birth cert has the name of her biological father on it. Fingers crossed. Thank you again

this is looking more and more likely by the second. As soon as I get paid i'll send for the marriage cert which should prove it.

Probably George's death....ties in with his being 'deceased' when Grace married

Thanks very much. Yeh I'm getting impatient waiting for the 1911 census now. Knowing my luck it'll be December before they release it.

He's on 1881....plus in-laws. I'll let you look for that one................

I would doubt that he was Grace's bio father............unless he was unable to marry her mother because Eliza was still alive............
