Mind you, I realize none of this is helping us find George Foster in 1891!

Justine

Justine Report 26 Nov 2008 16:33

wow!!!!

yes Margaret all good stuff, but I can't find him in 1891!!!! ha ha

on 21st January 1891 I know from baptism record of son George Foster, he lived at 11 Tyne Street, Hebburn, County Durham

and on 3rd May 1893 I know from daughter Mary Elizabeths baptism he lived at 26 Cuthbert Street, Hebburn, County Durham

But where was he on the 1891 census night??? Is it possible to search the census using addresses??? If so I haven't worked out a way to do it. They must be misspelled somewhere!!! do you think???

Thank you to everyone who's replied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Samspade

Samspade Report 26 Nov 2008 16:34

Samspade Report 26 Nov 2008 16:38

Think I've found out why we can't find him in 1891 Cuthbert street Hebburn,Durham isn't there!! must be a missing piece.

Justine

Justine Report 26 Nov 2008 16:42

Will the original be somewhere to look through manually, is it just cause it's not been scanned in??
And how did you do that?? I've access to ancestry.

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 26 Nov 2008 16:53

How about Tyne St.? Is it there?

Justine

Justine Report 26 Nov 2008 17:03

I'm getting excited - didn't know you could search the census by street!!! I know I'll probably not find out much more about the family but it's one of the last bits of my jigsaw.

Tyne Street? where and what year?

Justine,
you can't search on street names on Ancestry.I use a different site. And I'm afraid if the piece is missing it's cause the original is missing.
