The two in the 1700's would not match and the one 1827 with Sarah Legar is too late really I have my direct ancestor Edward Peaty born in 1824, |

Could Peaty be Petey and Sarah Sally? |

Thats it, the confirmation is in the 1871 census where I have Sarah Peaty living with her sister Lucy Gilmore. both from andover. |

Not sure on the Isaak theory, All the records for my Edward have been confirmed with later certificates, I have info that his birth date was 06/02/1824 place of birth being Shipton Bellinger but the parents seem to match dont they, what a quandery |

Hi Jason, BVRI is British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that I purchased many years ago. I don't think they're still available. They're extracted from parish records so quite reliable. |

Just noticed that the birth date for Isaak and Edward is identical. I wonder? |

Do you have other children of Thomas & Sarah/Sally, Jason? I could compare them with the ones on BVRI. |

On the 1871 census there appears to be another son George Peaty aged 52 so born around 1819 also andover. I havent added him to my tree just yet as im waiting to confirm the link which it looks like you may well have done |

Im hoping that the Isaak that you have mentioned is a brother as I have come across him many times during my searches and with a name like Isaak i should be able to find him again quite easily. |

This looks like George's birth, only 1 year out: |

I think with your excellent help this has been well and truly cracked. So my gr gr gr grandfather had a twin. this is exciting news and potential for many more relatives to find and add to the tree. You have been very very helpful. |
