Find Ancestors

My grandfather David Sage was born in London in 1905.
He married Victoria Richards in 1928/29. They had 4 children; Ron (my Dad), Rosina, Ken and Fred. Fred died in his teens around 1958. David, I believe, had 6 brothers and sisters. One brother was Harry, one sister was Jessie. David's father was also a David who I think married Annie (Strawson?).
If any of this makes sense to anyone, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.

I think its clear that David Sage b 1881 in Walworth (who married Annie Strawson in 1904) was my grt. grandfather. But I have no idea who his parents were.

Are there any census /birth records prior to 1841? My g,g,g grandfather appears to be Isaac Sage who was 35 in the 1841 census indicating a birth date around 1806 but I cant find his birth record. Whats the best source of info prior to 1841 census please?

Ages in the 1841 are rounded down to the nearest 5 so Isaac could be anything from 35-39 in 1841.

You could look on Familysearch.org for earlier parish records, or find a child born after 1837 so that you can buy the birth cert to get Sarah's maiden name, or you can visit the London Metropolitan Archives and trawl the Lambeth parish registers.
