my grandfathers mothers maiden name was laterlay and his birth was registered in solihul, just do not no any more info so its difficult to search for her death etc..

I think most of us on here have the same 'failing' which I for one wish I could overcome.

We try to help and keep 'prompting' for information but really in some instances we should just 'forget it' and go off and help someone else.

It is SSooo difficult sometimes and we all spend SSSooo much time on this but just sometimes I wish I could just tell myself 'forget it!!' and move on.

Im afraid I now give up when we have all tried and it feels like you are pushing a pea uphill with your nose. Ive got to conserve my own brain power and energy at my age. I dont do any searching on spec - Ive no doubt some kind soul will produce a century's worth of latterlays born in Solihull, but I dont do that now until I get solid info from the OP. If they cant be bothered to try to give info, why should we spend time trying to find their people?
