Find Ancestors

Hi, could someone try to find Michael Gorman and his son Thomas ( born c 1879 ) in 1891 and 1901. Michael was born 1853 Liverpool his parents were Patrick and Bridget Gorman both born Roscommon Ireland, both died c1877 Liverpool.
brothers James and Patrick were born c1843 and c1848 Roscommom, sister Catherine c1855 Liverpool and Thomas c1858 Liverpool.
Have found the whole family in 1861, 1871 then found them in 1881 James ( older bro ) was head, have found Catherine's marriage and James and Catherine in 1901 but no sign of Michael.
He was the father of Thomas Hennessey Gorman born c1879 Liverpool, Thomas married Mary Morrissey in 1909.

No I don't know his mother's name, I'm going by his age on marriage cert which was 30 and on his death in 1954 when he was 75.

Yes, it does say 12 something...... But I like you can't read exactly what it says!

I think it says 12 mths, but on the index it does say 12 .
The index has been wrong earlier in 1881 it says James and Patrick were married but on the form they were both single!

I've found this entry in the 1901 census .... I think the actual census says surname is 'Gorman'

His birth reg'n doesn't seem to be on freebmd...............what makes you think he was born in Liverpool? Have you some other info?

I'll look into it hopefully Michael's occup hasn't changed. He was a freight clerk in 1881 and on Thomas's marriage cert.

No she isn't there on 1881 Michael was at his elder brother James house.

I was told he was born in L'pool by my stepdad as Thomas was his grandfather. I haven't found his birth reg either.

It looks as if his occupation is something in the 'Theatre' (again I can't quite make out what it is)... so perhaps it isn't them!

I don't think it's them as Michael's occup was freight clerk on Thomas marr cert in 1909 not in the Theatre

Yes I think you're looking at the right 1881 Thomas wasn't there, probably with his mother I'm thinking. But I can't find his birth reg so can't look for mother.

It says on the 1881 census that Michael was unmarried. Do you know what Thomas' mother name was?
