Find Ancestors

Can anyone help find info, parents, brothers,sisters etc of EDMUND HENRY PAYNE - only info at present is married to a EMMA ANN MARIA PAYNE (nee READ) with one son GORDON READ born 4th September 1886 in Canterbury ,Kent District.

We know he was a Sergeant Major in the 7th Gragoon Guards in 1886, based at Cavalary Barracks Canterbury, Kent.

Would really appreciate any help to go back further with any info.

Edmond was an Army Captain - several of the children were born in India - that's why we can't find them on census!

He died before 1901, probably in the Boer War!(Emma was a widow).
