Bryan Report 17 Oct 2008 21:52

yes I thought I would have less problems on my mothers side til i found out that her grandad married a smith

Samspade Report 17 Oct 2008 20:42

LOL you have to laugh,I have missing Smith's all over the country given up looking for them now.But I do think you may have to start again back to what you know to be right.Traveller's are terribly hard to track. As I said I have the disc's for nottingham and there isn't any William and Minnies marrying or any children being baptised.

Bryan Report 17 Oct 2008 20:10

wayne/tracy
i believe the father to be correct as his son william smith was my grandfather, I was reliably told by my aunt that her dad was born on a fairground site.

Bryan

Bryan Report 17 Oct 2008 20:06

well now,
not only am I searching for the most prolific name in the country, he had a horse and caravan, puts a new slant on "did your dad have a bike"

the above also lets me know why I got the nickname Fang during my apprenticeship.
I was in the radio room and was told there was a young lady in reception to see me. I shot through like a bullet out of a gun.....................only to find a gipsy trying to sell pegs and the receptionist couldnt get rid of her. "clear off we dont want any" did the trick.
She must have seen something in my eyes and was frightened I would put a curse on her, must be my gipsy blood. pmsl.

Lester Hathern is near Loughborough Leicestershire....

So looks like we have a different father and different county?

Tracey

Bryan

Bryan Report 17 Oct 2008 19:55

Bryan

Bryan Report 17 Oct 2008 19:41
