The way to be certain about Jane Hastie's maiden name is to buy the birth certificate of one of the children:-

This looks like Kathleen's birth reference. You would have to buy the certificate to find her parent's names, as mother's maiden name isn't given in the birth index at this time:-

Also my next quest is to find my Grandad Alberts wife Kathlenn Anne Hastie ( maiden name Parish ) born 05/12/1909 and died 25/12/1995 christmas day! I remember it clearly. Any help much appricated as you seem better than me at this XX

Death dates are a bit more difficult without having more information about when they were last known to be alive. There are quite a lot of Hastie deaths in the area.

No, I am not connected to your family in any way. Just like doing look-ups for people on Genes.

Ancestry is a subscription site and some people think it is quite expensive as it's about £90 for a year's subscription, but when you consider this is less than £2 a week it is very good value for money as there are loads of other records on the site besides BMD's and all the census images and transcriptions. You can use the site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for as long as you have a subscription.

You can have a 14 day free trial which is well worth getting (but remember to cancel at the end if you don't then want to subscribe).

GR credits are the most expensive way to search the records.
