kathleen cox nee Rabbitts who wrote this book went to honeywood in canada and met her siblings

some of her dates in the book are wrong (i have since followed her research)

but i am in contact with her decendents so i know they are over there!
avril has told me that her mum was brought up in an orphange

which ties in with my ethel winifred history

there are just too many coincedences here

i think maybe Ethel was misinformed

however she has 6 sisters that i cannot account for!!!!

looking at Avrils mum was like looking at my aunty betty

i showed mum and she agreed

my mum even saw a resemblence with avril

hi all

whilst waiting for the certs to arrive i decided to tackle this from another angle

My Rabbitt children (including Ethel winifred) were removed from the family by the "Guardians"

so i thought maybe the somerset record office has the minutes/records of these guardians

so i checked and bingo they do, right dates and everything

one prob

20 boxes!!!!!!

have emailed the SRO to see if boxes are labelled in anyway to narrow down the search

still waiting to hear, but will def be going to the SRO next week (by which time birth cert will hopefully be here)


i may be gone sometime lol

i have a sneaky suspicion Ethel told a porky here

but i need to find an Army pensioner called Seward Arthur Rabbitts to disprove this

actually i had thought of that lindsey

but avrils info is sketchy at best, i have no dates even

i think what we have established is that ethel winifred was harry chiltons first wife

she dumped him in 1944 when he came back from the war

avril then says he met ethel ceclia may Evans and the sisters she talks about are this ethels sisters

however there are a few anomilties here

1) avrils birth cert state ethel winifred nee Rabbitts as her mother

her elder brothers states ethel cecilia may nee evans

two of the sisters, kathleen and gladys violet are also the names of 2 of my ethel winifreds sisters

so if i were to get any certs it would be those 2

i am also trying to find out if there was a Seward Arthur Rabbitts in the army

if you get my drift

I've pushed his names and combinations through the military lists and cant see him , I think she may have invented that bit.Do we have any death for him or just deceased on the marriage cert?
She might have killed him off too !

seward was not desc on the marriage cert

but i dont think he was an army pensioner either
