Do any other records have DOB on them rather than obvious certificates, been trying to find GGF for 2 years now with no luck and am trying to explore any route now.

Sorry Dea not answered before but not been online, GGF supposedly was born in Strood - his name was John William Slater, he married Margaret Ellen Quinn in London in 1913, his father on the marriage certificate was George Slater but dead at time of marriage (he was listed in the Merchant Navy). The only John William I can find is one born in Strood but has a dad named Richard, John William is not on any census and supposedly he lost all contact with his family after his marriage to my GGM, any help would be really appreciated as have been searching for nearly 3 years now.

There is a John slater living with his uncle and aunt alfred and Sarah Swain in 1901 this could be their marriage Sarah was a slater
