we think that it is John and Whevlica Lina Chivers that are the parents of Christina Chivers

both isabell and albert have died.we only have the bible with bits and pieces in it to go by.like l said l will have to wait until l see my sister -in-law to find out more.as she live in somerset and l live in cornwall.

sorry, i cant find a marriage for christina and francis

Yes she married a Francis Howard don't know what year sorry,l don't have the bible my sister-in-law has it.and l won't be seeing her until the end of the month.Francis and Christina had a son Albert born 1920 and mother-in-law Isabell born 1927,

so is her birth date in this bible?

I really wouldnt worry too much about the spelling Shivers/Chivers - people were not as good as spelling as we are today, due to poorer education, and if it was pronounced Shivers, that is how they'd have written it.

There is also the 'made a mistake' idea - just as you have in your message above - calling her Christina in on sentance & christine in another - from that i wouldn't assume her name changed, just that an error was made.

Did Christina marry?

Hi everyone, sorry l not much help trying to find family on my mother-in-laws side.all that we know is her name was christina chivers which is on my mother-in-laws birth cert; but in her bible she is down as christina shivers??and that her mother or grandmother/father was from lreland don't know which one.christine was born on the 9th june 1889 died 30thjuly1945 in bristol.

the whole thing is complicated by there being two families, both have wives with odd names.
