In my tree i have Ada White born 09th April 1883 Little Marlow, Buckingshire.
Her 3rd marriage was to Leonard Smith, 14th November 1915 Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
I cant find her other two marriages and wondered if anyone might be able to help.

Now you may understand the longshot bit with surnames of White & Smith.

Many Thanks
Samantha

Thank you everyone
On Rootsweb site it states 1st marriage with a child and 2nd marriage with a child and then the thirdn with a further 3 children but i only have the 3rd marriage name and never been able to find who the other two were.

Don't rely on other people's info.....unless you check out all the documentation yourself, you can't be certain that it is accurate.............

The info you have found on the other site seems very 'iffy'.................

She would not have been listed under her maiden name when she married Smith if she had been married previously............

Samantha

Samantha Report 16 Jun 2008 23:07

Why do you say that Reggie?

Thelma

Thelma Report 16 Jun 2008 23:11

I interpret the tree on rootsweb that she had two illigitimate children before she married in 1915
Charles Gordon White b: 14 SEP 1912 in Spittal Street, Great Marlow

Rupert Harry White b: 19 MAY 1910 in The Ferns, Bucks

Samantha I agree with Reg, you can't reply on other people's information but..........

The tree's not huge & contains a number of living relations (a sign that someone knows this family)

The tree owner mentions a number of certs

I've got a feeling that the owner on the Rootsweb tree is an offspring of Ada's 2nd son.

My instinct reading this Rootsweb tree is that Ada didn't marry twice but had 2 children before her marriage to Leonard. Why not try contacting the tree owner to confirm?

June

June Report 16 Jun 2008 23:13

The marriage cert will state if she is a widow
and she would of married in her married name not her maiden name.

and i agree with Reggie

In order to find their fathers you might find the certificates of Rupert Harry White 1910 a

and Charles gordon White 1912 useful

but since all this is on someone elses tree without named fathers on Ancestry it seems they dont know her previous marriages either

Samantha

Samantha Report 16 Jun 2008 23:14

Jim
These are the two other children yes, but i do have other people who have the same info as myself of two other marriages.

Thelma

Thelma Report 16 Jun 2008 23:16

So explain to us why the two children born before 1915 have the surname White.

With all these people having the lack of information you would expect one of the m to have bought a certificate?
