	Any date or place of birth? How do you know he was a sargent in 1905?

Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 19 Send Message	all army records are now kept in the national archives they have a website. You might gather more info from them or from the Royal Artillary Museum/ Ex military myself and have traced my mothers father this way

	If he was your grandfather.........who was your grandmother? When did they marry? Where did they marry? Buy the cert.........it will tell you how old he was......and the name + occupation of his father (if known)
