From Andrew sorry for the late reply i work nights 1921 is right but he was born in october on the 6 thanx to everyone that replyed to my search thanx andy

This birth registration that Barbara found is your dad's. Registration is done in quarters, so this is a registration done in the December quarter of 1921 .............. a birth in October would be registered here.

If you send off for this certificate to www.gro.gov.uk, it will cost you £7, but will tell you his parents' names, his mother's maiden name, where they lived, etc etc. Then we can start going backfor you.


GRO will ask if you have the GRO reference number, be sure to answer yes (it's that 6b 574 after Burton), or they will charge you more.
