Would someone be kind enough to look up the following individual inthe 1901 census:

Marie or Maria Ellen Temple

possible birth date around 1876 but not definite.

Unfortunately I don't know where she was living.

Many thanks

Esta

Where have you got the information from?

Esta

Esta Report 14 May 2008 13:29

She would have been my great grandmother.

My grandmother left my grandfather ran off with her son Robert and they went on to marry.

GlitterBaby Report 14 May 2008 13:32

At the moment it reads as she married her own son ?

Esta

Esta Report 14 May 2008 13:39

Sorry my English isn't very good but I'll try again.

Marie Ellen Temple married Charles Henry Brown who had a son Charles Robert Temple Brown. My grandmother Amy Muriel Fisher nee Parkhurst left my grandfather Ralph Fisher and eventually married Robert Charles Temple Brown aka Robert Charles Temple-Williams aka Robert Charles Brown Sivado.

I am trying to track down Marie or Maria Ellen Temple (aka Marie Sivado - worked as a palmist on Canvey Island). Don't know where she was born.

Hi,
I'm desperately trying to trace the lady who started this thread.
Amy Muriel Parkhurst was my grandmother. I have tried to message the lady who started this thread. I have recently worked out that my father has three half sisters he had no idea existed.
I'm aware this is a very old thread but am posting on the off chance that somebody sees this. I'm new to genes reunited so unsure how these forums work.
Thanks, Carly.

Welcome to the boards, Carly.

Unfortunately, if "Esta" doesn't respond to your messages, there's nothing else you can do.

If she has changed her email address since 2008 without informing GR, she won't have received your messages.

If she hasn't changed her address, there could be all sorts of other reasons why she doesn't respond - illness, death, loss of interest in family research, etc.

On the other hand, sometimes people reply to messages many months later.

If you look at "Search all member trees", under "Search" at top right of this page, you'll see that apart from yourself and Sue/Esta, someone named Naiomi seems to have Amy in her tree.

Although it's not very likely that she knows Sue or how to contact her, you can try to contact Naiomi by clicking on "Find out more" beside her name - just in case she does - and hope she replies.

ADDED:

If you have a sub to Ancestry, you'll see that Amy is in 5 trees there.
One of the tree owners is a Darren Smith, who has a private tree ("Smith family Tree") - but with the name Smith may possibly be related to Sue/Esta. As he joined Ancestry in Sept 2021, he will be contactable via Ancestry.

Carly has now posted in the FLR board asking for help to find Sue Smith, which appears to be Esta's real name.

All this information is excellent!
My grandfather was Robert and my grandmother was Amy.
I found out that Amy had three children from a previous marriage before her marriage to Robert. Robert had a lot of aliases, and apart from his marriage cert to Amy there isn't much known about him apart from personal things my dad has told me from his childhood.
It is the previous three children I am interested in finding on my dads behalf. He had no idea about them until I joined ancestry and as these are his half sisters he is very interested in finding them.
As far as I can make out, sue smith mentioned on a thread that one of them had passed away and didn't want to name the other two as they were still alive, but this was 2008.
I have found their birth certificates but from there I have no idea.

Have you looked for marriages? I think you said they were all female

Thanks so much for this.
I knew from sue smiths original post that daphne had passed away but had no idea that she was so young. Very sad.
To be honest I have a hard time navigating through all this. I feel like I'm going round in circles. I'm going to redo my ancestry subscription this week. I feel like sue smith is the key to all this its just tracking her down. Still no reply from either sue or Naomi who also has relatives in common. Somebody mentioned a Darren smith on ancestry so I'm going to check this out in the next few days.
