An Olive Corke died Sep. Q 1887, Maidstone, age 40. (2a 387)
Wonder why he said he was married not widowed on the 1891 census?

I noticed that. Hope he wasn't exploiting the system! I've never added to a previous thread before - learning all the time! Will be offline till tomorrow now. Thanks for all your help

Hi Glitter Baby, today I received a copy of Daniel's marriage certificate and it states that Richard was his father and that he was a farm labourer. Mind you, this doesn't help sort out why Daniel is missing here and there but it has given me a lead on Richard hopefully.

Haven't asked a question for ages on this link, but things have moved on somewhat. I have discovered Richard's baptism (1813 @ Stone) on the Medway City Ark link and his parents were Richard and Sarah Cork. Could someone please look at the census to help me find out somethng more about them please. I think they may have married in 1818 as that is the only feasible match I can find on the IGI. Many thanks.
