Michelle, I think it would be best to purchase granddad's birth certificate if you have the volume and page numbers, this will give you his mum's first name. Hopefully then you can find her marriage certificate and then find her on the 1901 census. |

FreeBMD is a website where you can look up births, deaths and marriages - for free. Once you have the volume, page number and district you can order the certificate. |

Well no i don't actually have his birth certificate, it was on the birth records on genes reunited. It gave the surname of his mum which was Inskip. |

Please could someone help me? I'm trying to find my Great Grandma i have been told she was born in Darfield 21.2.1900 but i can find no record of her except on my grandads birth certificate, and that doesn't give her first name. |
